Bo Zenga graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where he attended the Wharton School of Business. Starting out as a Wall Street banker for what is now J.P. Morgan Chase, he moved to Los Angeles and studied filmmaking at the American Film Institute.

Since 1996, Bo has been under contract with the major studios as a producer and screenwriter. Such distinguished talent as Steven Spielberg, Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Nicolas Cage, Ron Howard and John Travolta have attached themselves to his projects.

He wrote, directed and produced Stan Helsing, which opens in theaters across North America on October 23rd. It was chosen for Comic-Con 2009 and was a highlight of the convention with a standing-room-only event.

Before that Fox Atomic released his thriller Turistas starring Josh Duhamel and Melissa George, which Bo produced through Boz Productions. He also wrote and executive produced the comedy Soul Plane, which MGM released on Memorial Day weekend as their big summer movie. It later became a bestselling DVD.

Bo developed and executive produced the teen horror spoof Scary Movie for Dimension/Miramax, which earned $42.3 million in its opening weekend. It has since grossed over $300 million and spawned a franchise that has grossed over $800 million.

In the indie world he produced the comedy Everything’s Jake, a winner at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, and the New York Film Festival film If Tomorrow Comes starring Golden Globe winner James Franco.

Bo is also a lyricist having written the lyrics for songs featured in the movies Soul Plane, Stan Helsing and the award-winning TV show, Mad Men.

For the stage, Bo co-wrote, co-produced and co-directed Original Material from Hell which starred Billy Bob Thornton and from which the Academy Award-winning movie Sling Blade was derived.

Known for his pitching acumen, Bo has been featured in Newsweek, The New York Times Vanity Fair and Entertainment Weekly, to name a few. He has also repeatedly been listed as one of the "100 People You Need To Know in Hollywood" by Fade In Magazine and appeared on the cover of Written By, the Writers Guild magazine.

Bo was just named The American Diabetes Association’s “Father of the Year” for 2010, an honor previously given to John F. Kennedy, Walter Cronkite and Jimmy Stewart.

Bo and his wife, journalist Zorianna Kit, live on the fabled Ozzie and Harriet estate with their young daughters Kit and Olivia, their dog Petey and their African parrot Yaya.
